How Does Faith Interact With Interpretation?

In the debate between creation-evolution, fossils, age of the earth, etc., etc. What is the bottom line? For believers? For unbelievers? Because we do not believe...does that mean it is not true?

Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. Hebrews 11:1-3

Why are their discrepancies in interpretation of science and what is observable?
How do Christians manage the Bible and Science?
How does science prove evolution?
What is the reason that colleges and universities will not teach creationism?
I submit that the answer to all of these questions is rooted in our worldview and beliefs...our faith.
